Guardian Shield™ Panels replace your framing crew, insulation contractor, and vapor barrier — in one engineered panel. Your home goes up 50% faster, and your utility bills drop 75–85% for the life of the building.
No obligation. No pressure. Just a straight conversation about your project.
The Problem with Conventional Construction
Conventional stick-frame construction hasn't changed much in 100 years. And it shows — in your energy bills, your build timeline, and the number of subcontractors you're trying to coordinate.
You're paying $200–$400/month in heating and cooling — and that number only goes up.
Your build drags on for months while you're paying carrying costs and waiting on multiple trades.
You're managing a framing crew, an insulation contractor, and a vapor barrier installer — separately.
Your walls are R-13 to R-21. Roughly 40% of your home's heat is escaping through air leaks alone.
Lumber warps, mold grows, and wood rots — especially in Northeast Ohio winters.
You're leaving money on the table — energy efficient mortgage programs exist, but your home doesn't qualify.
There's a better way.
Guardian Shield™ Panels are an all-in-one structural building system that combines your framing, insulation, and air barrier into a single engineered panel — manufactured to your exact plans, assembled in days, and built to perform for 40+ years without degrading.
What You Get
Your Guardian Shield home uses 75–85% less energy to heat and cool than a conventionally built home. That's not a one-time savings — it's money back in your pocket every single month for as long as you own the property. Most owners recoup the cost difference within 3–5 years.
The exterior envelope — walls and roof — goes up 50% faster than stick framing. One system replaces your framing crew, insulation contractor, and vapor barrier installer. You're not coordinating three trades. You're coordinating one crew, and they're done in days.
Guardian Shield homes are eligible for Energy Efficient Mortgage (EEM) programs through FHA, Fannie Mae, and VA — which can let you borrow more based on projected energy savings. And when it's time to sell, a home with documented 75–85% energy savings is a conversation-stopper.
The Technology, in Plain English
Guardian Shield™ Panels are built from two materials: galvanized steel studs and rigid EPS foam — the same material as a Styrofoam cooler, but engineered for structural load. The steel studs are embedded flush on both sides of the foam core, creating an I-beam effect that gives the panel its structural strength.
The result is one panel that does the job of your framing crew, your insulation contractor, and your vapor barrier — all at once. Your panels arrive on-site pre-cut to your exact plans, with every window and door opening already cut. You're not building a house. You're assembling one.

Watch It in Action
This is Guardian Structural Technologies' official installation walkthrough — showing the real process from panel delivery to completed building envelope.
The Process
No surprises. No hidden steps. Here's the complete process for your Guardian Shield build — whether you're a homeowner, investor, or contractor.
You sit down with Brett and our architect. We review your plans — or help develop them from scratch. You'll know exactly what the panel system costs and what you'll save before anything moves forward.
Guardian Structural Technologies engineers your panels to your exact plans. Every window and door opening is pre-cut. Every panel is labeled and ready to assemble — no guesswork on site.
While your foundation is being poured, your panels are being manufactured. No waiting — both happen at the same time, which is a big part of why your build finishes faster.
A crew of 3–4 assembles your full exterior envelope. What takes weeks with lumber takes days with panels. No heavy crane equipment — panels are light enough to lift by hand.
Your electrical, plumbing, and HVAC run through pre-designed chases in the panels. Your HVAC system is sized smaller — because your home holds temperature so well it barely has to run.
Drywall attaches directly to the interior steel studs. Your exterior finish — siding, brick, stucco — goes on just like any other home. Then you move in and start saving money every single month.

For Builders & Contractors
You already know how to build. What if you could build 50% faster, with one crew instead of three, and hand your client a home that costs 75–85% less to run? That's a conversation-stopper on every sales call you make.
Reliable Building Co. is one of the few authorized Guardian builders in Northeast Ohio. We can partner with you, train your crew, or help you structure your first Guardian project. Let's talk.
Common Questions
These are the questions we hear most on every first call. We'd rather answer them here so you come to the conversation ready to move.
Your upfront material cost is comparable to high-quality stick framing — but you save significantly on labor (50%+ faster build means fewer crew-hours), HVAC equipment (smaller systems needed), and insulation contractors (it's built in). The real savings show up every month in your utility bill: 75–85% less than a conventionally built home. Most owners recoup the cost difference within 3–5 years and come out far ahead over the life of the building.
Yes — and you may qualify for better financing. Guardian Shield homes are eligible for Energy Efficient Mortgage (EEM) programs through FHA, Fannie Mae, and VA. These programs let you borrow more based on the projected energy savings, which means you can sometimes afford a bigger or better-finished home than you could with a standard loan. Our team can walk you through the EEM process.
The exterior envelope — walls and roof — goes up roughly 50% faster than traditional framing. For a typical residential home, that means the shell is complete in days rather than weeks. The full build timeline depends on your finishes and site conditions, but you'll typically save 4–8 weeks on the overall schedule compared to stick frame.
Most rough carpentry or light gauge steel crews can install Guardian Shield panels with minimal training. The panels arrive pre-cut and labeled to your plans — there's no on-site cutting of structural members. Guardian Structural Technologies also provides on-site installation training. As an authorized builder, Reliable Building Co. has the experience to manage the full process.
Any finish you'd use on a conventional home. Drywall attaches directly to the interior steel studs. On the exterior, you can use siding, brick, stucco, stone veneer, or any cladding system. The panels are designed to accept standard finish systems — your home can look exactly the way you want it to.
Yes. Guardian Shield panels are engineered and stamped by a licensed structural engineer for each project. They meet or exceed Ohio building code requirements and have been successfully permitted across residential, multifamily, commercial, and institutional projects nationwide for over 40 years.
That's exactly the kind of conversation we want to have. As one of the few authorized Guardian builders in Northeast Ohio, we can partner with you, train your crew, or help you structure your first Guardian project. Call Brett directly at 216-868-8088 or book a call with our architect to discuss how to add this to your offering.

Whether you're planning a new home, an investment property, or want to offer this system to your own clients — your first call with our architect is free, and there's no obligation.
Most people leave that call knowing exactly what their project will cost, how long it will take, and what they'll save. That's worth 30 minutes of your time.
